Hey, I'm Amber Wilhoit!

I started Empowered Diabetes in 2019 to help people with Type 2 Diabetes effectively combat this insidious and REVERSIBLE disease.

Amber is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RD/LD) and Certified Diabetes Education and Support Specialist (CDCES) with over 22 years of experience in the field of diabetes care. Richie has nearly 10 years of experience as a former US Army officer and disabled combat veteran. As a former US Rowing Level 1 coach and personal training, he makes sure everything runs smoothly, and most importantly, Amber does not want for healthy snacks.
